Julian Weber, AIA, Founding Principal, grew up in Montana in his mother’s pottery studio building his first “homes” with bee wood. Julian received his Master of Architecture degree from Montana State University in Bozeman in 2000. He founded JW Architects in 2009. He is a licensed architect in Washington and California. Julian leads a highly collaborative design process that includes designers, consultants, developers, and clients. Committed to design that positively impacts neighborhoods and communities, Julian served as the Chair of the Southeast Board of the City of Seattle Design Review Board from 2015 to 2018. As an entrepreneur and small business owner, Julian values the optimism required to provide human focused design within a rigorous design process. He strives to create connection and community while being committed to reducing the impact of the built environment on the planet. Julian practices architecture with restraint and respect for the human condition while balancing the bottom line, making him a valuable partner in the design and construction community.
